OPENING OF THE GREEN 2012

Torrential rain, at times mixed with hailstones, put a dampener on the opening of the Foggie bowling green for the 2012 season. The formal opening by the throwing of the jack and bowl, followed by a very quick one bowl target throw by a brave bunch of bowlers, was all that could be done to mark the occasion.

President Douglas Heggie throws the jack

Treasurer Kate Heggie throws the first bowl, while Club members take shelter

FREEDOM OF THE GREEN

The honour of Freedom of the Green was bestowed on Charlie Henderson (left) on 7th August 2004 for his services to the Club over many years.  He was presented with a silver jack and a framed certificate by Club President Tom Cairns.  Charlie's wife Margaret received a bouquet of flowers.
