This pair-cased pocket watch, according to hallmarks on the silver casing, is dated around 1902.
The watch is driven by a chain drive Fusee mechanism which is wound by a key.

The back plate is engraved with the number 28698 and the name Wm Adam, Aberchirder.  Paper inserts within the outer casing are from James B Law Aberchirder and Andrew McKenzie, Turriff, suggesting that these watchmakers had at some time cleaned or repaired the timepiece.
