Pictured here are Mary McKenzie and her eldest son Robert.
The photograph shows the original low buildings on the street frontage, adjacent to the higher Commercial Hotel.  The building on the right, No 45 South Street,  was a shop and weaving business.
Note the petrol pumps on the pavement outside the front of the Hotel.
