Doctors & pharmacists
The GP surgery at 78 Main Street continued to be used throughout this period by just three doctors – Robert Moir, James Whyte, Ronald Cumming and Archie McBain.
Over the same period there were even fewer pharmacists at 55 Main St – Charles S Geddes, who continued until his death in 1934, his widow who filled in for a year, and John B Rattray who then began a thirty-two-year spell.
